Oracle Database Agent

This section describes how to install and configure the Oracle Database Agent.

Installation Prerequisites

The Synchronization Agent for UNIX/Linux Servers must be installed to provide

communications with the InSync Server, as detailed on page 3.

Before installing the Oracle Database Agent, you must create a Service Account

for the Agent to perform the password resets. The Service account must be

assigned the privileges to logon and reset any user account.

Installing the Oracle Agent

To install the Agent, copy the installation file for your agent to /tmp. Then

install using the following command:

# cd /opt/quest/insync

# gzip -dfc /tmp/insorafilename.zip | tar xvf -
